I’m a travel writer and journalist with a passion for slow adventures and for discovering ways to explore without cars or planes. When I’m not taking the long way round, I enjoy writing about literary travel, food and wild places. I also have extensive knowledge of the Lake District National Park in the UK.

I started my career in journalism on the editorial team of three B2B fashion magazines. From there, I spent several years at a digital marketing agency, writing copy for clients such as Hewlett-Packard (HP), Intel and NVIDIA. When I became a freelancer, HP continued working with me, and I went on to support other tech clients including software company Adaptavist and developer platform Venue.sh. Since going freelance, I’ve continued to work with long-term commercial clients while shifting my focus toward travel writing.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually outside exploring with my Labrador, Elba, or planning my next journey.
